Local Rotary Club hosts delegates from Albania, Kosovo

Rotary clubs across Western Pennsylvania in Rotary District 7280, including the Warren Rotary Club and the Keystone Rotary E-Club, successfully hosted delegates from Rotary District 2485 (Albania and Kosovo) for a packed week of cultural exchange.

The return visit follows a rewarding trip last year where District 7280 members visited their international counterparts to partner on service projects.

The delegation, hosted by fellow Rotarians, was a whirlwind tour: The visit began with explorations of Pittsburgh, including a Gateway Clipper adventure and a ride on the Duquesne Incline. In the Butler area, guests toured local sites via the Saxonburg Trolley, learning about local history, and community service efforts like the meal program at First English Church. Mid-week focused on Grove City, where they completed a service project with Days for Girls, toured Keystone Safari, and visited Grove City College.

They also got to experience a traditional Thanksgiving meal hosted in a traditional Amish home in Harrisville.

The final days were spent touring Mercer County, visiting the Mercer County Career Center where students manage the Crutches 4 Africa collection, before heading to the Warren area. Locally they experienced their first Halloween party, participated in a key literacy project: handing out books to children alongside the Free Books for Kids Town program at the Sensory Friendly Trunk or Treat event at Holy Redeemer Church and had a farewell dinner that was a barn dance theme complete with a live caller and live musicians for some line dancing.
