Walk to end Alzheimer’s raises more than $27,000

More than 100 attended the Walk to End Alzheimer’s event in Warren on Saturday.
More than 100 people gathered at Betts Park in Warren on Saturday for the 2025 Walk to end Alzheimer’s. The event raised more than $27,400, surpassing its $26,500 fundraising goal to support the care, support and research programs of the Alzheimer’s Association.
“The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter sincerely thanks the many dedicated Walk participants, volunteers and sponsors who made the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s a tremendous success,” said Amber Beason, Development Manager. “The funds raised will help fuel disease research while also providing critical care and support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia.”
Targeted Pet Treats was the top fundraising team at this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raising more than $5,300, surpassing its $5,000 fundraising goal. Greg Austin, Team Captain, participates in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to raise funds and awareness in honor of his father, who has been battling Alzheimer’s disease for four years.
More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – a leading cause of death in the United States.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
