Warren County’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s will take place Saturday, Sept. 27, at Betts Park in Warren.
With a goal of 28 walking teams Warren County is nearly there with 21 teams ready to walk. Hoping to surpass last year’s numbers of 100 participants there is still plenty of time to join or form a new team.
Raising the most funds for last year’s walk was Team Bevacqua-Marching with McKissock. Captained by Caremen Bavacqua, the team was able to raise $1600 towards Alzheimer’s research. Bavacqua’s team is hoping for a repeat of last year’s success but Alzheimer’s Executive Committee Member Greg Austin and his team from Targeted Pet Treats are hot on their heels promising to sweep the award.
Registration for the September 27th walk begins at 9:00am with the Opening ceremony at 10:00am and the Walk at 10:30am.
