Volunteers remember those killed in terrorist attacks
Photos submitted to the Times Observer
Each year, volunteers place 3,000 US flags at Warren County Memorial Park in memory of those killed on 9/11. It’s called the 9/11 Memorial Field of Flags, as shown in the plaque in the photo. The park’s new owner is Richard Winter, who is pictured with Holden Demers, a 16-year-old junior at Warren Area High School. This is Demers’ third year volunteering to help set up flags with his grandmother, Delores Berry. The group picture includes all volunteers who helped place flags.
