League of Women Voters to host registration drives
More than three-quarters of Warren County residents are registered to vote – but the county’s League of Women Voters wants to increase that number even more.
Right now, 78% of county residents are registered to vote. That number may increase with two voter registration drives scheduled next week in Warren County.
“It is a non-partisan time to celebrate our democracy,” Warren League of Women Voters officials said recently.
. LWV is a national non-profit, existing for over 100 years.
Since 1962, members of the Warren County League of Women Voters have been working to educate voters through study groups, presentations and candidate forums. If you have not registered to vote already, the local League of Women Voters would like to remind citizens to make themselves eligible to vote in all types of elections including national, state and county. Please register to vote before the national election on November 4. The Warren League of Women Voters will be at the following Warren County libraries next week to help people register to vote: Monday, Sept. 22, at the Tidioute Public Library from noon to 7 p.m. and Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the Sugar Grove Free Library from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Township, borough and city offices have information on voter registration as well as online registration. Warren County citizens can also obtain registration forms by calling the Registrar and Director of Election at 814-728-3406 and at the Warren County Courthouse. Citizens may also register to vote by downloading registration forms, for any information changes, or request mail-in, and absentee ballots applications at http://www.vote.pa.gov/register-to-vote.
