Johnson Transportation holds Stuff The Bus in Youngsville

"Stuff the Bus" was held recently in support of local teachers.
YOUNGSVILLE – Johnson Transportation in Youngsville, PA parked one of their small buses in their front yard with a large banner that said “Stuff the Bus” in support of local teachers.
Connie Johnson and her son, Cody Haight, own Johnson Transportation and are always looking for ways to give to the community by holding fundraisers and other events.
“We know how much our teachers do for our children and we wanted to support them with school supplies,” Johnson said.
Four seats of the bus were filled as well as two totes full of school supplies and baskets of tissues, wipes and paper towels. Donations were collected during the week and then dropped off to the school.
“The community is what made this event a success,” Johnson said. “We will definitely be holding this event every year and my hope is that it gets bigger and bigger. I will say that the favorite donation was the Kleenex!”
The event was a success with donations of all kinds for Youngsville Elementary/Middle School. Johnson Transportation would like to extend a huge thank you to our teachers for the amazing job that they do taking care of our kids.
“Thank you to our community for all of the donations,” Johnson said. “We couldn’t have done this without you.”
Last year, when Johnson and Haight celebrated the 100th anniversary of being in the school bus business, money was raised for cystic fibrosis.
“My grandson Joey has CF and I will do anything to help raise money to help find a cure,” Johnson said.
She is hoping to have a big fundraiser to support cystic fibrosis research in the near future. For more information, events are posted on their Johnson Transportation Facebook page.
