A Jamestown man has been jailed on $50,000 bail after being charged with three third-degree felony theft charges Tuesday.

Thomas N. Dulak, 46, of Jamestown was charged by Conewango Township Police with three counts of third-degree felony retail theft – taking merchandise after incidents that allegedly took place Aug. 17 in Conewango Township. Dulak was arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Raymond Zydonik on Tuesday.

Zydonik set bail at $50,000 and Dulak was taken to the Warren County Jail after being unable to post bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 10 in Zydonik’s courtroom.

Dulak was charged in mid-August in Gerry, N.Y., with petit larceny and criminal impersonation after Chautauqua County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Country Fair on Route 60 in Gerry for a possible larceny. While responding deputies were told the suspect left driving north toward Dunkirk on Route 60 with the stolen merchandise. Deputies pulled a vehicle over driven by Dulak and charged the city man. He was arraigned at the Chautauqua County Jail and released to be in court later.

In April, Dulak of Jamestown was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon after a search warrant was executed at 34 Thayer St., lower apartment, Jamestown, by members of the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators with assistance from the Jamestown Police Department SWAT Team. Dulak was located inside the residence along with three other individuals, where they were all detained by the SWAT team. After the residence was secured, detectives searched it and located 24.6 grams of fentanyl, 4.7 grams of methamphetamine, 3.4 grams of crack cocaine, 20 dosage units of fentanyl and several bottles of liquid methadone, scales, packaging materials, and a large amount of a cutting agent consistent with the sale of illegal drugs. Detectives also located a metal knuckle knife. Dulak was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

Dulak was also charged in December after a traffic stop on Barrett Avenue, Jamestown, with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia after officers allegedly found Dulak in possession of cocaine, heroin, fentanyl, methamphetamine, an illegal switchblade knife and a cutting agent.

Dulak was also charged by Ellicott police in September 2024 with third-degree burglary and petit larceny after officers responded to a shoplifting complaint at Wegmans.
