More than $1,000 was raised and 78 people showed up for breakfast. There were several volunteers who helped make the event happen by making breakfast, selling giveaway tickets, serving drinks and cleaning tables. More than 30 gifts were donated from local area businesses. Winners are listed on the Eagle Club #313 Facebook page.
The money will benefit the students for their annual out of town haunted house. The WASU group will visit “Frightworld” in Buffalo, N.Y. on Oct. 12. Anyone can join them on the coach bus. At least one adult per eight children is required. Families who enjoy haunted houses are welcome. There are 46 seats available. The price for the trip is $40 per guest. Contact Pamela at the WASU at 814-723-7674 or stop by 330 Hickory St. to sign up. Seats will be reserved when payment is received.
The WASU staff and students thank Eagle Club members for hosting the fundraiser. This is the second year for the breakfast at the Eagles Club. WASU officials also thanked the North PA Ghostbusters, a non-profit fan and charity group, for attending.
“The Ghostbusters were an added joy,” said Pam Falber, WASU director. “They are volunteers with a heart to help.” For more information about the Ghostbusters, visit whoyagonnacall.org/teams/north-pa-ghostbusters.
