Taylor Made Dance and Theatre has made downtown Warren its new home. Perched above Allegheny Antiques at 314 Second Ave., the theatre’s second floor locale features high ceilings, natural light flooding in from towering windows and abundant instruction space. Breathing new life into this historic downtown building Taylor Made Dance and Theatre will begin its 2025-26 season with a free open house event Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The new studio includes two separate instructional spaces. The main studio has been fitted with a custom made professional dance floor and will feature a vast wall of mirrors and long lengths of wall mounted barre. Smaller in size the ancillary studio is for breakaway groups, smaller classes and workshopping.

Angela Morando-Taylor, Taylor Made Dance and Theatre owner and creator, said building owner Kevin Sheldon has helped the studio move in go smoothly.

“Kevin’s been incredibly helpful.” said Morando “He’s very supportive of downtown businesses.”

The addition of new instructors and expanded studio space allows TMDT to expand its class offerings and times. New this season is The Actor’s Studio for teens in middle and high school which provides everything students need to enter into the world of Musical Theatre. A rotating variety of acting, vocal and dance classes will be instructed throughout the season. Tap, Hip-Hop and Classical Ballet can also be found for all experience levels this year. Private instruction and open studio time is also available. Special performance events, workshops, classes and instructors will be added.

“Now that we have this (new) space we can do whatever we want!” says Morando.

New to the TMDT staff is Crystal Russell.
