Boy Scouts of America to host Family Fun Fall Festival Saturday

Free and open to the public, the fun family event will be taking place from 2 to 5 p.m. on the grounds of the Kinzia Heritage Festival, 4047 Fox Hill Road, Russell. The day is packed with demonstrations and hands-on activities that include pressing cider, making smores, use of the slingshot range, visiting animals at Miss Heather’s petting zoo and Olive the Support Dog, who will be on site with the Sheriff’s Department. There will also be magic by Jimmy the Enchanter and blacksmithing demonstrations.
Prizes will be given to those who take on and complete the scavenger hunt challenge. The day also offers games, face painting, crafts, horse-drawn carriage rides courtesy of Double D Ranch, free popcorn and hot dogs, chips, beverages and baked goods available for purchase.
