Warren County Fair is open through Saturday

Pennsylvania State Senator Scott Hutchinson speaks at the media luncheon on Monday.

The Warren County Fairgrounds is the happiest place to be in Warren County this week.

The fair is open now through Saturday. Grounds open at 8 a.m. each day with rides on the midway starting at 1 p.m. Barns open at 10 a.m. For a full schedule, visit warrencountyfair.net/2025-schedule.

State Sen. Scott Hutchinson, R-Oil City, spoke during opening day festivities Monday and said the fair provides a “week full of smiles” highlighting friends, family and neighbors coming together to support the community and explore the extensive variety of agricultural opportunities throughout the county.

Much of the infrastructure of the fair grounds received a little TLC in the months leading up to this week’s festivities. Dale Bliss, fair president, and Steve Carr, fair vice president, gave a brief rundown of several recent improvements. A brand new vendor walkway has been installed which will assist with pedestrian flow and EMS access to the area of the midway.

All of the livestock buildings received new roofs and many a fresh coat of paint thanks to the philanthropy of Warren’s Community Foundation, Seneca Generation LLC, CRS Roofing, Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture grants and a multitude of volunteers. Fort WIlliams Pavilion received a facelift as well. Four new automated external defibrillators have been placed throughout the grounds adding additional health and safety to fairgoers beyond having the on-site presence of EMS, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, Fire Department and Boo-Boo Barn.

Donated by Chip and Rhonda Turner of Turner Enterprises, a new flag pole and high flying flag located in the center of it all has been erected in memory of their dad David Turner.

Home and Garden buildings were closed to the public while entry judging took place. Food vendors were up and running and serving subs, salads, pizza and sweet treats and beverages of all kinds. Penn Valley Shows was busy setting up the midway to open Tuesday through Friday from 1 to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 1 to 11 p.m.

Rounding out opening day was the crowning of a 2025 Fair Queen, Jr. Miss and Princess at the KeyBank Pavilion and the Monday Night “Chute Out” held at the motorsports arena.
