Sugar Grove native and Taylor Made director Angela Morando-Taylor invites residents to take advantage of this amazing opportunity being offered this week.

Fresh from the national tour of “Funny Girl” starring Melissa Manchester, TMDT alumnus Kyle Laing brings a wealth of knowledge in musical theatre repertoire and history to impart on student performers. A versatile New York City based performer, educator and choreographer Kyle passes on the time honored classic techniques and stylings of musical theatre while bringing a contemporary flair.

Both an alumna of TMDT and Elon University in North Carolina, Summer Severin has directed, choreographed and music directed at the university’s McCrary Theatre. Under the tutelage of Broadway directors and choreographers Severin assisted in presentations of classics like “A Chorus Line” to the Elon stage.

Workshop offerings include Contemporary Ballet, Classical Jazz and Tap, Hip Hop. Stretch and Strengthening and Broadway Styles. The events are Thursday to Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at their dance space located inside the Warren YMCA, 212 Lexington Ave., Warren. The cost of this professionally instructed summer dance workshop is $200. Open to ages 10 years of age and older students of all experience levels are encouraged to attend.
