School district practice bus run is Tuesday
The Warren County School District will conduct a practice run for all bus routes serving the Western Attendance Area on Tuesday, Aug. 12, beginning in the early morning hours.
The purpose of this test run is to allow bus drivers to follow their assigned routes and arrive at the Youngsville Elementary/Middle School transition point. This exercise will help WCSD staff and bus contractors identify any necessary route adjustments to ensure smooth, safe, and timely transportation for all students when the school year begins.
During the practice run, local residents should expect to see school buses on the roads throughout the morning.
Buses will stop at designated locations along each route to simulate student pick-ups, but no students will be on board during the dry run.
“This practice run is an important step in our back-to-school preparations,” said Jeffery Dougherty, WCSD’s transportation and purchasing manager. “It allows us to fine-tune logistics so that when school starts, everything runs as efficiently and safely as possible.”
