The Warren County Visitors’ Bureau is looking for a new executive director.

Casey Ferry, who was hired as the bureau’s executive director in 2022, announced via a Facebook post over the weekend that she is taking a position with the Pennsylvania Route 6 Alliance.

“It is with very mixed emotions that I am announcing my resignation as executive director of the Warren County Visitors Bureau,” Ferry said. “I truly thought I would be in this position until retirement. I absolutely love my job. Who wouldn’t?!? I have been able to show off the most beautiful place in the world for the last 3.5 years. The decision to leave was not taken lightly.”

The PA Route 6 Alliance, a 501(c3) corporation, was established in 2003 to manage the PA Route 6 Heritage Corridor and to implement the Management Action Plan, branding and marketing plans, community development programs, and other planning efforts along the corridor. The alliance includes representatives from all 11 counties, nine convention and visitor bureaus, four heritage areas, local development districts, local business owners, Chambers of Commerce, and other interested parties along the corridor.

The alliance has six areas of concentration: tourism promotion, cultural conservation, education and interpretation, open space and recreation, economic development and partnerships. Its projects include an artisan trail, bike friendly business program, facade program and the Community Heart and Soul Program.

“Now, having said all that, I am happy to announce that I will not be going far. I have accepted the position of Program Manager at Pennsylvania Route 6 Alliance (US Route 6 in Pennsylvania) where I can continue to work for the benefit of Warren County as well as Crawford, Erie, McKean, Potter, Tioga, Bradford, Wyoming, Lackawanna, Wayne, and Pike counties in marketing and community development capacities,” Ferry said. “My last day at the Warren County Visitors Bureau will be Friday, September 5, 2025, with my last big hurrah being Kinzua Rocks the Wake. Not a bad way to make my way out.”

For eight years, Ferry served as the event coordinator at the Warren County Historical Society, where she planned community events, curated museum exhibits and helped residents trace their genealogy. She also briefly served as the director of Leadership Warren County.

She is on the board of the Warren County Children’s Museum, the PA Route 6 Alliance, the PA Wilds Planning Team, the WCCBI Chamber Operations Board, and the executive committee for Warren Worx. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Grove City College, with concentrations in social studies and English. Ferry and her husband Brian have three children: Alex, Natasha and Liam.

“It has truly been an honor serving Warren County in this capacity. I love every corner of Warren County and every space in between. Thank you for being a part of my journey. I look forward to continuing to support Warren County in a different way,” Ferry said.
