Most major crimes decreasing in Warren county
Major crime in Warren County shows a decrease through the first seven months of 2025 compared with 2024.
This year’s decreases continue a trend of declining crime in Warren County from 2023 to 2024 that is largely continuing into 2025. It also falls in line with a decrease in violent crime being reported across the state.
According to the Pennsylvania Uniform Crime Reporting System, rape cases decreased from 12 to 8 from 2023 to 2024, with six rapes reported in the county through the end of July 2025. Simple assaults decreased from 131 in 2023 to 122 in 2024, with 72 filed through July 31, 2025. At that pace the county would see roughly the same number of simple assaults in 2025 as it did 2024.
Burglaries decreased by 5 from 2023 to 2024, with 36 reported in 2024 and 18 reported for the first seven months of 2025.
Aggravated assault and larcenies are outliers, with aggravated assault increasing from 59 in 2023 to 72 in 2024 and 46 already through seven months in 2025, putting it on pace to nearly equal 2024. Larcenies increased by 12 in 2024 to 295, but are on pace to be the lowest in three years if 2025’s pace holds up. There have been 81 larcenies reported in Warren County so far this year.
