Kinzua Rocks the Wake has added a new exhibit focusing on the United States’ 250th birthday that will be celebrated in 2026.

The America250PA Countdown to 250 Mobile Experiential Unit, a custom-designed educational and entertainment exhibit, will be on display Saturday, Aug. 30, from noon to 4 p.m. at Kinzua Beach during the Kinzua Rocks the Wake Labor Day Weekend Finale, held in conjunction with the Clinton County Labor Day Regatta. Created by the Pennsylvania Commission for the United States Semiquincentennial (America250PA) — a body formed in 2018 to plan the state’s role in celebrating the nation’s 250th anniversary — the mobile unit is a “rolling celebration” of America’s founding and Pennsylvania’s deep contributions to its history.

The exhibit includes:

– Pennsylvania Pursuit and Keystone Quest with interactive games that highlight state and national history.

– The Commonwealth Chronicles: A storytelling exhibit sharing the narratives of Pennsylvanians.

– The unit also includes additional hands-on activities, historical insights and ways to connect with American history.

The mobile experience is powered by Penske and will be located at the top level of the main parking lot at the entrance of Kinzua Beach.

Organizers are also seeking volunteers. Those interested can visit https://form.jotform.com/251535308642152

“This mobile unit brings Pennsylvania’s role in American history directly to communities, and we’re excited to share this celebration with Warren County,” said Kelly Leighton, director of strategic partnerships for America250PA. “We encourage everyone to stop by with friends and family to enjoy the fun and learn something new about our past and future.”

Starting at $3.50/week.
