Warren woman pleads guilty to contraband offense
A Warren woman who asked a child to take a drug test for her has pleaded guilty to a felony charge.
Tiffany N. Christenson of Warren tried to sneak contraband illegal opioids into the Warren County Jail and, according to a police report, then asked an 11-year-old to take a drug test for her. Christenson pleaded guilty to a second-degree felony charge of contraband/controlled substance recently in front of Judge Gregory Hammond. Charges of corruption of minors, furnishing drug-free urine and possession of a controlled substance were not prosecuted.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, an officer spoke with a parent at the Warren Police Department on Oct. 15 who said that on Oct. 11 Christenson allegedly asked their daughter to urinate in a cup for a drug screening at Christenson’s home in Warren. Between Oct. 11 and Oct. 15, Christenson had allegedly been taken to the county jail on a probation violation.
On Oct. 16, Adult Probation provided Warren police officers with a Visene bottle containing ‘urine’ on Christenson. Christenson was also allegedly found in possession of four round orange pills and a red straw with residue along with the Visene bottle that Christenson had concealed when she was booked into the jail. The pills were allegedly Klonopin that aren’t prescribed but are taken for anxiety, according to the affidavit of probable cause.
“On November 4, 2024, at 13:24 (the child) completed a CAC forensic interview,” the affidavit states. “During the interview (the child) disclosed that the defendant made her ‘pee’ in a clear measuring cup in exchange for the use of her cell phone on or about Friday, Oct. 11, 2024.”
