Third photo contest to showcase area beauty

The Warren County Treasurer’s Office, led by Lisa M. Barr, has announced the launch of its third photo contest, inviting residents and visitors alike to submit their favorite snapshots taken across the scenic landscapes of Warren County.

Open now through August 31, the contest welcomes 4 by 6 printed photo entries featuring wildlife, streams, flowers, sunsets, animals, and any other awe-inspiring moments captured within the county’s borders.

“This one is for any photos taken in Warren County,” Barr said. “They can be of wildlife, streams, flowers, animals, sunsets — anything that shows the natural beauty of the place we call home.”

Previous contests held during turkey and deer hunting seasons have drawn enthusiastic participation. Past prizes have included a turkey fryer, Mr. D’s seasonings, Lowe’s and Walmart gift cards, gun-cleaning products from Bordertown Supply, and even cash.

Barr noted donations for this summer’s prize pool are being accepted now. “We’ve been lucky to have generous community sponsors in the past, and we welcome any new donations that help us continue to celebrate our local talent and surroundings,” she said.

How to Enter: Submit a printed 4×6 photo with your name and phone number clearly marked on the back. Drop off entries in person at the Treasurer’s Office, located at 204 Fourth Avenue, Warren, PA 16365, or mail them to the same address. All entries must be received by August 31, 2025.

Throughout the month of September, visitors to the Treasurer’s Office will be invited to vote for their favorite entries, selecting first, second, and third place winners. The winning photographs will be announced during the first week of October.

Barr emphasized the community spirit behind the contest. “This would be a way to show off some of the beautiful things here in Warren.”

Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or someone who just happened to snap the perfect picture on a summer stroll, this contest is a chance to share your perspective — and celebrate the natural charm that makes Warren County so special.
