Admission is by donation, making the performances accessible to all who wish to enjoy one of Shakespeare’s most beloved works. Caitlin Webster is the director for the production.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to bring timeless theatre to our community in a fun, relaxed environment,” said Colette Bonavita, who helped form the troupe in 2021. “It’s an evening of love, laughter, and a little mischief – something the whole family can enjoy.”

A Midsummer Night’s Dream is a classic Shakespearean comedy full of romance, magic, and misadventure. The story follows four young lovers who escape to a mystical forest, only to become entangled in a web of enchantment spun by fairies. The mischievous sprite Puck stirs chaos with a love potion, creating humorous confusion among the lovers and the fairy royalty Oberon and Titania, who are engaged in a quarrel of their own.

Through a blend of illusion, mistaken identity, and poetic mischief, the play explores the unpredictable nature of love and the transformative power of imagination.

The Shakespeare Troupe of Warren Players was formed in 2021 as an extension of the Warren Players’ mission to promote live theatrical performance and creative expression in the region. The troupe focuses specifically on bringing Shakespeare’s works to local audiences, offering both traditional and creatively staged adaptations.
