Car show to join First Friday festivities

Downtown Warren is gearing up for a high-octane weekend as the Vintage Wheels Car Show returns on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., as part of the city’s popular First Friday Series. The event is being hosted in collaboration by the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry (WCCBI), the City of Warren, Explore Downtown Warren, and Employer Strategic Partnership Group (ESPG).

The show invites classic car lovers of all ages to enjoy a two-day celebration of automotive history, craftsmanship, and community. From polished chrome to vintage engines, the streets of downtown Warren will be filled with cars of all makes and models, each telling its own story.

“WCCBI is thrilled to help assist with combining the timeless appeal of classic cars with the vibrant energy of the First Friday Series,” said Savannah Casey of WCCBI. “This is an event for the whole family, offering a unique blend of automotive artistry, live entertainment, and the usual delights of downtown Warren.”

Brent Erskine, President of Employer Strategic Partnership Group/QuickStaff, is helping organize and promote this year’s show and is hopeful for strong participation.

“We’re putting out a call to all car enthusiasts — bring your ride and join us,” said Erskine. “We’re especially excited to expand this year’s classes and hope the weather cooperates. The last time rain cut us short, but even then, we had about 15 die-hard participants stay all day. We’re looking forward to seeing a great local turnout Friday and an even bigger crowd on Saturday.”

This year’s show will feature five vehicle classes: Pre-War, Classics, Muscle Cars, Modern, and Overlanding Vehicles (a new addition for 2025).

Trophies will be awarded for Best in Show, second place, and third place, along with Best in Class for each of the five categories.

The event coincides with the lively First Friday festivities, offering live music, food vendors, local shopping, and family-friendly entertainment in addition to the car show. Visitors are encouraged to stroll through downtown, chat with car owners, and take in the beauty and history of the vehicles on display.

Organizers say Friday evening will likely showcase many local cars, while the main show on Saturday is expected to draw classic car owners and spectators from throughout the region.

“Each car on display is more than just a machine–it’s a piece of someone’s history, a story, and a passion,” Erskine added. “We’re excited to give our community a weekend to celebrate that.”
