Antlerless deer licenses will go on sale Monday at 8 a.m. at the Warren County Treasurer’s Office.

The Game Commission announced 1,312,000 antlerless deer licenses will be allocated statewide for 2025-26, which is up from the 1,186,000 licenses allocated for 2024-25. This includes 44,000 licenses in Wildlife Management Unit 1B, which covers Erie and western Warren County, and 51,000 licenses in Wildlife Management Unit 2F, which covers Warren County south to Interstate 80. Antlerless deer allocations are based on scientific data and staff recommendations tailored to meet population objectives within each WMU, according to the PA Game Commission.

All Pennsylvania residents are entitled to an antlerless deer license in the first round of licensing between June 23 and July 14, according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Starting on July 14, hunters from out of state can purchase round one antlerless deer licenses.

Once the nonresident portion of the first round begins at 8 a.m. on Monday, July 14, all remaining antlerless licenses will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis until the allocated number of licenses is exhausted for that Wildlife Management Unit.

There are four rounds of licensing, and only one antlerless license can be purchased in each round. Round 2 starts on July 28 and is available to both resident and non-resident hunters. Round 3 starts on August 3, and is available to resident and non-resident hunters. Round 4 starts on August 25 and is available to resident and non-resident hunters. Hunters can purchase a total of six antlerless licenses in the four rounds, but only one in each of the first three rounds.

Antlerless deer licenses can be purchased online at  HuntFishPA, where hunters can also find places that sell licenses locally. Locally, Lottsville Milling and Peterson’s Hardware will not be selling licenses this year.

Starting at $3.50/week.
