WCCBI seeks nominations for its annual service and professional awards
The Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry (WCCBI) is excited to announce that nominations are now open for two prestigious honors: the annual Community Service Award and the newly established Young Professional Awards (one male and one female). These awards recognize individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to their professions and to the Warren County community.
Nominations must be submitted by August 1, 2025. Winners will be honored at WCCBI’s Annual Gala at Cable Hollow on October 23, 2025.
This brand-new award seeks to celebrate two outstanding young professionals — one male and one female — under the age of 40 who are making an impact both in their careers and in the community.
Selection Criteria: Candidate must have lived in Warren County for at least five years. Demonstrates professional achievement, with tangible contributions to their field and clear career growth. Exhibits leadership qualities, showing initiative, project management skills, and mentoring of others. Shows innovation and creativity, offering new ideas and adapting to challenges. Engages in community involvement, making meaningful contributions beyond their professional duties.
There must be a reasonable expectation that nominees will continue living and serving in Warren County, providing ongoing inspiration and leadership to others.
Nomination Requirements: A narrative description highlighting the nominee’s achievements according to the selection criteria. A minimum of three letters of support confirming the nominee’s contributions and impact.
Those submitting nominations may recommend both a male and a female candidate but cannot submit two candidates of the same gender.
A longstanding tradition, the Community Service Award honors an individual whose life embodies a servant’s heart, putting others’ needs before their own and serving with true motivation and compassion.
Selection Criteria: Must have lived in Warren County for at least ten years. Contributions must extend beyond professional obligations, impacting the entire community. Should be of such stature as to maintain the prestigious nature of the award. Must be respected and recognized throughout Warren County. Must demonstrate a commitment to continuing their service activities into the future.
Unlike the Young Professional Award, the Community Service Award recipient is determined by a committee of past winners. Nomination materials are confidential and reviewed only by the committee.
Nomination Requirements: A typed narrative description aligning with the selection criteria. A minimum of three letters of support from individuals or organizations.
If a nominee is not selected, nominators will be encouraged to resubmit in future years.
“These awards provide a wonderful opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible individuals who make Warren County such a vibrant, caring place to live and work,” said Savannah Casey of the WCCBI. “We hope the community will take the time to nominate deserving individuals who embody leadership, commitment, and service.”
