UPMC’s Outpatient Center is expanding its services in Warren County.
Those upgrades were on display during a recent open house at the center, located at 1885 Market Street. Organized in collaboration with the Warren County Chamber of Business & Industry, the event drew 25 to 30 attendees, including healthcare professionals, community members and local leaders. The center, which houses a growing list of primary and specialty care services, officially unveiled its latest expansion to the public.
“The Warren County Chamber of Business & Industry is absolutely thrilled to witness UPMC’s growing commitment to our community with their expanding Outpatient Center,” said Savannah Casey of WCCBI. “UPMC provides valuable healthcare resources, and this further investment in their services will undoubtedly enhance the well-being of our citizens and strengthen our region.”
The outpatient center has eight full-time employees, including two nurse practitioners offering primary care services. The facility’s primary care office hours run Monday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Services include breathing treatments, EKGs, IV therapy, steroid injections, and dermatology consults.
The center also features an on-site lab that is open to the public, regardless of whether they are UPMC patients. Lab hours are Monday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Additionally, the facility hosts a rotating roster of specialty providers from UPMC Hamot in Erie and Great Lakes Physician Practice (GLPP) in Jamestown, offering local access to: behavioral health, gastroenterology (GLPP), general surgery (GLPP), heart and vascular (Hamot), nephrology (GLPP), neurology (Northshore, Erie), podiatry (Hamot), pulmonology (Hamot), an OB/Gyn (GLPP), with OB/GYN services beginning in July.
“As we provide routine primary care, we are able to complete necessary screenings and manage chronic disease,” said Jill Gorton, one of the providers at the center. “With the availability of our specialty team, we can move the patient forward in our own community. We also provide a variety of procedures and treatments within our office. This makes healthcare easier and more conclusive to all of our patients. Having this center in Warren brings easy access and availability to specialists and primary care in our own community. The UPMC Team is looking forward to caring for the people of Warren and our surrounding areas.”
