The Warren community has a new leader at the helm of its post office.
Richard Greeley, a lifelong Warren County resident, has officially been appointed as the 36th postmaster of the Warren Post Office, a position that dates back to 1816.
In a statement to the community, Greeley expressed deep gratitude for the opportunity, saying, “I’m honored to introduce myself to the community as your new Postmaster. I’m excited to begin this journey serving the residents and businesses of Warren.”
Greeley began his career with the United States Postal Service (USPS) in June 2013 as a city carrier assistant in Youngsville. His path within the postal service has been marked by dedication and a commitment to growth. He later transferred to the Tidioute Post Office, then moved to Warren in 2020 where he began gaining valuable supervisory experience. Leadership roles followed in Oil City and again in Warren, where he became Supervisor, Customer Services in July 2023.
Now, with over a decade of experience and a strong foundation in both mail delivery and management, Greeley steps into his new role with pride and optimism.
“After years of obtaining valuable leadership qualities, I was appointed the 36th Postmaster in Warren. The Warren Post Office is the largest in the area with an appealing opportunity due to its prominence and the quality of its workplace,” Greeley shared.
As postmaster, Greeley’s priorities include improving the customer experience and promoting the value of USPS offerings–especially advertising by mail, which he describes as an “effective way to reach customers.” He is also passionate about the role USPS plays in providing career opportunities, noting the organization’s wide array of job titles that suit many different skill sets.
“A thriving post office not only supports the community through reliable service but also provides stable, rewarding career opportunities for residents,” he said.
Greeley said he will focus on timely deliveries, enhancing retail services and maintaining open communication with the public.
“My goal is to make our post office a place of trust and support for everyone,” he added.
Community members are encouraged to stop by the Warren Post Office to meet Greeley, share feedback, or inquire about career opportunities within the Postal Service.
“Thank you for the opportunity to serve. I’m proud to be here and look forward to working together to keep our community connected,” Greeley said.
