Melissa Zydonik

Melissa Zydonik is running for re-election as Warren County Coroner.

With a background as a Registered Nurse, Zydonik has spent more than 15 years caring for the residents of Warren County. During her tenure as county coroner, more than 10 years, she has worked to improve forensic investigations, collaborate with law enforcement, and provide families with timely and compassionate support.

“Through my specialized training from my initial training and testing with the Attorney General of Pennsylvania, active membership in the PA State Coroner’s Association, and hands-on experience responding to critical incidents, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. I remain dedicated to ensuring the highest standards in death investigations and public health and safety.,” Zydonik said.

Since serving as coroner, Zydonik has been involved with the Child Death Review Team of Warren County, participating with the Sheriff’s Department, S.A.D.D., Victim Impact Panel (VIP), and the schools with annual mock crashes before prom to raise awareness and discourage underage drinking and driving. Also, hours of continuing education are completed each year, including emergency management, mass casualty training, drug death investigations, and forensic application updates.
