Nature Art Showcase and Sale set for February 7-8 in Franklin

The ninth annual Nature Art Showcase and Sale, a celebration of art inspired by the beauty of the natural world, will be held Friday and Saturday at the Barrow-Civic Theatre in Franklin, Pa.

The event coincides with the Franklin on Ice Festival, featuring outdoor ice carvings in the public park across from the venue. The Nature Art Showcase will host a reception on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by all-day viewing and sales on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Seventy-six artists from 11 northwestern Pennsylvania counties, including Armstrong, Butler, Clarion, Crawford, Erie, Forest, Indiana, Mercer, Venango, Warren, and Washington, will present 142 original artworks.

This year’s collection includes various styles and mediums, such as acrylics, watercolors, photography, stained glass, woodworking, and mixed media. Many pieces will be available for purchase.

Attendees can vote for their favorite piece featuring pollinators in the People’s Choice category.
