“Mama’s Forget Me Nots” named top fundraising team at Warren Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Nearly 100 people gathered Saturday at Betts Park in Warren for the 2024 Warren Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Betts Park in Warren.

Participants raised $21,865 to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s care, support, and research programs.

“The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter sincerely thanks the many dedicated Walk participants, volunteers, and sponsors who made the 2024 Walk to End Alzheimer’s a tremendous success,” said Amber Beason, development manager. “The funds raised will help fuel disease research while also providing critical care and support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia.”

Mama’s Forget Me Nots was the top fundraising team at this year’s Walk to End Alzheimer’s, raising more than $2,700, surpassing its $2,000 fundraising goal.

Team captain Carol Stowe started the team in honor of her mother, who was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2015.

The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research.
