Warren General Hospital and Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses and Allied Professionals (PASNAP) union reached a three-year agreement that was ratified by its membership earlier this month.
“I am happy to see us reach an agreement with our partners in PASNAP that is economically reasonable, competitive and sustainable. We recognize and value our nurses, medical technologists and social workers for the outstanding care they provide for the residents of Warren County,” says Richard Allen, chief executive officer.
The agreement covers economic, quality and safety measures to assure that the patients at Warren General Hospital will continue to receive world class care.
“I am proud to be a part of the negotiation team and a team member of the nursing staff at Warren General Hospital,” states Charlene Fohrd, local PASNAP President.
Warren General Hospital is an 85-bed independent community hospital located in Warren, Pennsylvania.
“Our recent contract negotiations were a collaborative agreement to help provide an environment to recruit and retain great staff and continue to care for individuals within our community.” Joseph Akif, Chief Nursing Officer shared ” . . . these negotiations were the most collaborative and positive that I have been a part of at Warren General Hospital. Both parties recognized the importance of the hospital as a community asset and found common ground to assure that the care provided was not interrupted and will continue to grow.”
PASNAP represents 102 employees working for Warren General Hospital including Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Laboratory Medical Technologists.
