Cases resolved at preliminary hearings

The following cases were resolved at preliminary hearings held over the last two weeks at the Warren County Courthouse.

The following individuals entered guilty pleas:

Jeremy M. Ballou, 33, Warren, to theft. A count of theft was withdrawn.

James E. Bondarek, 27, Irvine, to disorderly conduct. A count of terroristic threats was withdrawn.

Ricky L. Houghwot, 44, Frewsburg, NY, to possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and a traffic offense. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia was withdrawn.

Michael R. Miller, 46, Warren, to criminal mischief. Charges of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct were withdrawn.

Gabriel E. O’Neil, 33, Warren, to possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges of possession of marijuana and possession of marijuana were withdrawn.

Zacry R. Smith, 21, Clarendon, to possession of marijuana and two traffic offenses. A count of possession of drug paraphernalia and four traffic offenses were withdrawn.

Norberto Velez, Jr., 55, Warren, to theft. A count of theft was withdrawn.

John E. Young, Sheffield. Young had been charged with harassment. An additional count of harassment was withdrawn.

Charges were withdrawn against the following:

Seth D. Clark, 32, Warren. A count of fleeing or eluding was withdrawn. Four traffic offenses were re-categorized as traffic offenses.

Jennifer M. Deaton, 49, Eastlake, Oh. A count of hindering apprehension was withdrawn. A count of give false information was recategorized as a traffic offense.

Dana J. McWilliams, 41, Corry, Pa. Counts of disorderly conduct and defiant trespass were withdrawn. A count of public drunkenness was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense. At a second docket, a count of disorderly conduct was withdrawn while a count of disorderly conduct was re-categorized as a non-traffic offense.

Robert J. Milhomme, 38, Warren. Milhomme had been charged with retail theft and driving on a DUI-suspended license. Charges of retail theft and driving on a suspended license were re-categorized as non-traffic and traffic offenses, respectively.

Kira D. Nudd, 53, Warren. Nudd had been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance. A count of no headlights was recategorized as a traffic offense.

The following defendants were held for court:

Timothy A. Cope, Jr., 33, Warren, on charges at three dockets including two counts of burglary, theft, conspiracy (theft), criminal trespass, resisting arrest, criminal mischief and retail theft. Cope pleaded guilty at a fourth docket to charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia where charges of possession of a controlled substance and four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia were withdrawn.

Christopher C. Nelson, 46, Sheffield, on charges at two dockets including theft of services, criminal mischief and theft.

Christopher A. Zaffino, 40, Warren, was held for court on charges of disorderly conduct and harassment.
