The Kinzua Youth Development Center is paving a way for those in need of a physical for fall sports to be able to get one.

The partnership with Warren General Hospital will provide a voucher for a physical at the Walk-In Care Clinic in North Warren at the Warren Commons.

According to Dr. Dennis Johnson, vouchers are available at the WCSD Central Office as well as the following schools: Warren Area High School, Beaty-Warren Middle School, Eisenhower Middle High School, Youngsville Middle High School and Sheffield Area Middle High School.

Johnson said they aim to “support youth in the Warren County community in gaining medical clearance for participation in athletic activities.”

He said the voucher will be good for one exam.

“Parents/caregivers must have a PIAA section six physical examination form with their voucher at the time of evaluation,” Johnson said. “These will be attached to the voucher upon pickup.”

Those with some form of insurance are asked to provide their medical insurance information at the time of the examination.

“KYDC will pay the total cost for those who have no insurance or the difference between the actual cost and one’s insurance benefit,” Johnson said.
