The City of Warren presents Civic Beautification Awards
It felt like fall but the hard work of city resident’s landscapes this summer was celebrated Tuesday morning.
The City of Warren’s Parks, Recreation & Landscape Commission presented a total of nine Civic Beautification Awards at an event held at Breeze Point.
“It’s a great day when we can do this,” City Manager Mike Holtz. “Every year, we try to honor residents with the nicest lawns and landscapes.
“(We) just can’t say enough for everybody and their efforts.”
Recipients include Hernan and Bonnie Lopez, 120 N. Parker St.; Rodney and Karen Hoffman, 218 Canton St.; Dennis and Gloria Flatt, 15 Branch St.; Donald and Susan Nelson, 910 Conewango Ave.; Kellie Persing, 115 Water St.; Bill and Pam Hummel, 112 Falconer St.; Samuel Farone, 22 Crescent Park; Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home and St. Joseph Parish.
Each winner was presented with a gift certificate to a local garden shop.
