Jolynn Durlin has been named 2024 Warren County Fair Queen.

Durlin emerged from a field of five during Monday night’s fair queen competition.

She’ll be joined in Fair promotion for the next year by First Runner Up Alexis Stec, Junior Miss Addison Wentworth and Princess Tristen Gates.

Durlin is a 19-year-old Mercyhurst University student studying nursing and the daughter of August Upton of Spring Creek.

She’s a member of the Garland VFD as well as the Holistic Nursing Club at Mercyhurst.

Specific interests include caring for her animals and helping on the arm when she can. Specifically at the Fair, she enjoys camping and has shown animals in 4-H as well as dairy cattle and rabbits.

She aims to pursue a career in emergency medicine.

Her court will include Stec, who took home first runner up on Monday.

The 16-year-old daughter of Ruth Beane, Stec attends Warren Area High School, where she plays softball.

Like Durlin, she’s also a member of a VFD, serving as a junior firefighter with the Pleasant VFD with a specific interest in health and medicine and providing EMS care.

Fair royalty isn’t new for Stec as she was the 2022 Warren County Fair Junior Miss. She also volunteers in the fire barn, camps and volunteers in the Cornplanter Cafe.

Also like Durlin, she plans to pursue a career in nursing. Her goal is to become a flight nurse.

Other contestants involved in the competition Monday include Ciara Sherwood, Mackenzie Dunn and Kahlynne May.

Wentworth was the top choice in a field of seven in the “Junior Miss” competition.

She’s the 13-year-old daughter of Ashley and Bill Wentworth and is a student at Beaty-Warren Middle School.

Wentworth is involved in cheerleading, participates in the Gold B program and plays softball.

For the Fair, she’s a 4-H participant, enters exhibits, attends camp and volunteers at the Cornplanter Cafe.

She has also been a past participant in the Princess program.

Nursing is a theme – Wentworth would also like to pursue that field, specifically working with children and infants.

The rest of the “Junior Miss” field included Lillian Yoder, Amie Lindvay, Allyson Peate, Savannah Gilbert, Harper Gates and Bristol Beane.
