On the final day of the Democratic National Convention, the Warren County Democrats opened its new headquarters for the organization at 117 E. Main St. in Youngsville.

Though the group expected to have around 15 people in attendance, the turnout ended up being well over double that.

“The energy is unbelievable; I have been inspired,” said Jack Devareaux, party subcommittee chair. “We are in a crucial moment that demands resolve and moves us forward. … We are not going back.”

A vision board was presented asking those in attendance, “What does freedom mean to you?” and the answers included:

“Freedom to make choices for my body.”
