Often, busy schedules make it hard for youth to participate in multiple activities, with time commitments and fees associated racking up.
The Music Conservatory offers the Warren County Youth Orchestra and Junior Youth Orchestra, both of which are completely free to join and attend. This alleviates the financial burden on parents, making these opportunities more accessible.
While the schedule for these Youth Orchestras is consistent, with rehearsals taking place weekly, it’s important to note that rehearsals are not mandatory.
Students can attend when they are able, providing a flexible and accommodating environment.
Joseph Glarner of the Music Conservatory describes the orchestras as a nurturing ground for “fostering a love of music and learning skills in an environment where youth can grow.”
The Youth Orchestras not only allow young musicians to gain experience in performance but also provide a rich environment for music education.
Warren County Junior Youth Orchestra meets on Wednesdays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. It is open to youth who have completed one year of band or orchestra instrument instruction.
The Warren County Youth Orchestra meets from 6 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday and is for high school and high achieving middle school band and orchestra musicians.
The Music Conservatory is located at 220 Pennsylvania Ave. West, Warren. For more information, call The Music Conservatory at 814-580-3913.
