‘Fun Days’ ahead in Tidioute on Friday and Saturday

Submitted Photo Tidioute Fun Days is a two-day event with multiple daily activities, including historical tours on Saturday, August 3, at 1 pm.

Tidioute will be hosting its Tidioute Fun Days on Friday and Saturday.

Tidioute Fun Days was founded after the Tidioute Alumni Association disbanded in 2022 to make it a more inclusive event. The Fun Days allows everyone who has lived, camped, or visited Tidioute to participate in the festivities.

Friday, August 2, will kick off at the Tidioute boat launch with a fishing demonstration at 4 pm and a stone-skipping demonstration to follow.

From 7 to 10 pm, there will be a community dance with live music by Flashback at the fishing tournament grounds.

Saturday, August 3, will begin with a softball game at 9 am, and food from Hope Roe Pastries and the Magic Bus food truck will be available.

There will be school tours, crafts for kids, and history tours during the day.

Saturday evening includes a campfire with smores at the Tidioute ballfield and an outdoor movie at 9 pm at the school. Full schedules and additional information can be found at tidioute.org.

The Tidioute all-school reunion, scheduled for the end of August, has been moved to August 3, 2024, at 5:30 pm. It will include a dinner at the fire hall, and the committee will donate to the meal cost to keep the price minimal.

For reservations to the all-school reunion, private messages should be sent to the “Tidioute Fun Days” Facebook page.

Starting at $3.50/week.
