Artisan Sale to benefit local veterans

The second annual Veteran’s Benefit Artisan Sale will be held on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church, 445 Conewango Ave., Warren.

The benefit is held in memory of Sean R. Mitchell, who was killed in action in Iraq in 2004 at the age of 24.

Spc. Mitchell was a lifelong resident of Youngsville. He was a talented athlete and volunteered at a nursing home during high school. After graduation, he helped coach track and got an associate’s degree before signing up to serve.

The event’s mission is simple yet meaningful: to allow local artisans to showcase their talents while supporting local veterans.

The community is invited to come out, show their support, and admire the incredible work of the artisans.

Every purchase made at the event will be donated to the Warren Veterans Council, ensuring that 100% of the proceeds go directly to supporting local veterans.

For any questions about the event, please contact the event organizer, Barbara Matson, at barbaraj197658@yahoo.com.

Starting at $3.50/week.
