‘Touch A Truck’ to be held Saturday at Betts Park

The annual “Touch A Truck” event is set for this Saturday at Betts Park.

The event is sponsored by the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center.

JDFC Executive Director Melinda Johnson called the event “a family fun day for children of all ages to explore, learn and interact with vehicles of all types and sizes.”

The event starts at 9 a.m. with a VIP hour with $10 tickets. Children under two are free.

That’s followed with free hours with donations welcome from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During that window, there will be a sensory quiet hour from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Marty Loomis and the Bubblegum Machine will perform from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. when a ping pong ball drop will occur.

There will be photo opportunities, food trucks, vendors, an inflatable obstacle course, basket raffle, paint a car and smash a car.
