TIDIOUTE – The Tidioute community united again to support a town project by cooperatively creating a Little Free Library.

David Manning, Tidioute Borough council president and a Tidioute Community Charter School teacher, said of the project, “This Little Free Library was made possible by The Times Observer, Tidioute Borough employees, Tidioute Borough Council, TCCS shop and art class students, and the Tidioute Public Library for donating some of the books to get us started. Special thanks to Council member Cindy Paulmier for the idea, the maintenance crew for providing transportation of the box to TCCS, the students involved in clean up and design, and The Times Observer for donating the box.”

Little Free Libraries are set up so that anyone in the community can add or take a book, allowing increased book access to everyone.

“This is a great opportunity to foster literacy in our community,” said Manning.

Starting at $2.99/week.
