Four students awarded Conservation District scholarships

Four students have been awarded scholarships by the Warren County Conservation District.

Bryceton Maille, Owen Trumbull and Madison Carnahan were selected as the 2024 Ralph G. Eckert Scholarship recipients.

Mailee is attending Mount Aloysius College and majoring in conservation law. Trumbull is an environmental science major at Thiel College while Carnahan is attending Paul Smith College.

The Ralph G. Eckert Scholarship is awarded to county students pursuing a conservation-related degree. It was established as a memorial to Eckert, who served in the Soil Conservation Service from 1950 to 1966.

Carnahan and Tucker Lindell were also awarded the Warren County Council of Sportsmen’s Clubs scholarships by the WCCD.

Lindell will be attending the Southwest Lineman Training Center and studying to be a power lineman.
