Corry man dies in Saturday crash

TRIUMPH TWP. — An investigation is continuing into the death of a 27-year-old Corry man.

According to Pennsylvania State Police on Wednesday, Dereck D. Gesin was traveling eastbound on Tidioute Creek Road around 5:21 a.m. Saturday when he lost control of his vehicle, which began to slide on the road as he was attempting to navigate a slight right-hand curve.

The vehicle continued straight through the curve and hit the northside embankment causing the vehicle to overturn and roll several times before coming to rest in the road.

The driver was ejected by way of the sunroof and pronounced deceased by the Warren County coroner’s office. State Police say the operator was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.

State Police were assisted by Tidioute Volunteer Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services and Tidioute Fire Police and the coroner.
