Boat launch

The Betts Park boat launch will be closed from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday for the “Touch a Truck” event as well as from 3 p.m. Friday, June 14 to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 15 for Warren County Pride.

Outdoor club to hike

The Allegheny Outdoor Club will hike the Tanbark Trail from Sandstone Springs to the rocks near East Hickory Creek on Sunday, June 9. Total distance is about four miles and the hike is easy to moderate. Those participating are asked to meet at Musante St. at 1:30 p.m. or Sandstone Springs at 2 p.m.

ANF to offer

buckthorn

workshop

The U.S. Forest Service is holding a free, two-part workshop on how to manage buckthorn on June 20 and July 17 from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day. The workshop will be held at the Johnsonburg Fire Hall, 99 Clarion Rd. Common and glossy buckthorn are non-native invasive trees introduced from Europe and East Asia. Workshop participants will learn about integrated pest management, treatment planning, and implementation and treatment techniques. The free workshop includes lunch and an opportunity to earn Certified Pesticide Credits. Daycare open house

Little Dragons Learning Center, LLC invites the public to attend its inaugural open house on Thursday, June 13, at 300 Market St., second floor. Parents and families are welcome to attend the Little Dragons Learning Center ribbon cutting ceremony officiated by the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry at 3 p.m. and tour the center from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Little Dragons Learning Center offers supervised, quality, daily childcare for infants up to school-aged children. The Warren High School Class of 1955 will meet for lunch at the Blueberry Golf Course restaurant on Wednesday, June 12 at 12:30 p.m.
