Officer involved shooting investigation continues
Details remain sparse as the investigation continues into an officer involved shooting that occurred last month in Freehold Township.
Pennsylvania State Police confirmed on Friday that the incident occurred at about 6 a.m. on the morning of March 22 at a location on Stillwater Rd.
Additional details confirmed by police reveal that a state police trooper is on administrative duty in the wake of discharging the weapon that resulted in the death of a 41-year-old man.
Community Service Officer Trooper Cindy Schick said the administrative duty designation is state police protocol.
Warren County Detectives and the Pennsylvania State Police are leading the investigation.
“I am waiting for the complete investigation before reviewing and making a decision,” District Attorney Rob Greene said on Friday.
He did not respond to a question that asked for confirmation on the name of the deceased.
