Hospice of Warren County achieves five-star rating
Hospice of Warren County has achieved a 5-Star Quality Rating on the national Hospice Care Compare website.
The site is provided by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services and uses a variety of metrics, including caregiver satisfaction surveys, to determine scores.
“For a small non-profit organization, achieving a 5-Star rating is hard work,” Executive Director Darlene Schultz-John said. “While personally we thrive on personal patient and family testimonials, the public website is another way to validate our determination and efforts across a larger comparison.
“This is the proof that shows others that our work is meaningful, impactful and our mission worth supporting.”
Volunteer Coordinator Lindsay Bevevino explained that the site provides patients, providers and the community “with an accurate real time snapshot of the quality of care provided by each Hospice Agency in the nation.
“The Care Compare site is a helpful search tool for those seeking Hospice services for themselves or their loved one,” she added.
Hospice of Warren County was founded in 1979 and provides a variety of reduced or no-cost programs and services to county residents. That includes, in addition to hospice care, grief counseling, caregiver support and palliative care services.
