Tyler Fitch from Sheffield and Collin Orinko from Warren, made themselves known last month at Rolfe Beagle Club’s Statewide Coyote and Fox Hunt or Trap

Fitch and Orinko were hunting together on public land in Warren County at 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 10 when a large female gray fox responded to their electronic call. Both shot with their 12-gauge shotguns, so they share the harvest. The large female gray fox weighed in at 12.4 pounds, which was 0.2 pounds heavier than the record female gray fox Ray Bevacqua had set just the day before.

Fitch’s young sons Anthony, Cooper, and Chase accompanied Tyler and Collin to the weigh-in, and proudly carried their prized gray fox to the weigh station.
