Just a little over two weeks remains before the Community Foundation of Warren County’s college and technical school scholarship window closes.

Scholarships can range from several hundreds dollars to $10,000. The application window is open through April 16.

“This is money to help pay for your education which does not need to be repaid,” Mark King, executive director of the Community Foundation explained. “Please apply to see what’s available to you.

“You could benefit from the immense generosity of the many community-minded donors who have provided funds over the years to help Warren County students through scholarship for the betterment of themselves and their community.”

Students looking to apply can visit cfowc.org/Scholarships to start an application. A series of qualifying questions will help a student identify which of the 46 scholarships that the Community Foundation of Warren County administers they might be eligible for.

“We are here to help the students,” LouAnn Gadsby, the Foundation’s Administrative Assistant said. “Please do not hesitate to call, email or stop in the office. We never want a student to miss out on scholarship opportunities so if students have any questions on how to proceed, or need help with their username or password, I urge them to contact the Foundation right away.”

Last year, the Foundation awarded over $1 million to over 300 students with state matching funds adding over $300,000 to that total.

“We are very pleased with our partnership with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency,” King said. “Their matching grants can make a significant impact on a student’s finances before graduation and in reducing the loans they have to repay after graduation.”
