The Dolly Parton Imagination Library of Warren County is celebrating the 50,000-book milestone.

Located at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, the program has provided 50,000 books for county children under five years old.

"Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Warren County was launched in July 2018 at which time 15 books were mailed," Jennifer Madigan, childcare director at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, said. "The recent Storybook Breakfast event was a fundraiser to support the program."

County Commissioners Dan Glotz and Ken Klakamp recently presented a "Citation of Excellence" to the center in recognition of the success of the program.

"Books are mailed to registered families free of charge thanks to a community of generous individuals and organizations," Madigan said.

She said that anyone who would like to support the Imagine Library of Warren County can make out checks to the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center, 207 Second Ave., Warren.
