Two Warren County 4-H Horse clubs competed in the Erie County 4-H Horse Bowl held on Feb. 24. Horse Bowl is a team event that tests the youth’s knowledge of 4-H, animal health and nutrition, safety, breeds and disciplines and the history of horses. In the team event, Lillian Boisvert, Esther Boisvert, and Arlene Boisvert from the Sugar Grove Ruff Riders placed second, along with an additional teammate, Trisha Louoghry from the Cloverleaf Riders. Evelyn and Alaina Ongley from Trails and Rails Equestrians placed third in the team event, along with an additional teammate, Emmalyn Jaraczewski from the Waterford Bucking Broncos. In the individual placings, Arlene Boisvert from the Sugar Grove Ruff Riders placed fourth.
