Two Deerfield Behavioral Health employees have been promoted to the organization’s management team.

Jean Berry has been selected as the new Director of Outpatient Services while Christy Moore will fill Berry’s position as clinical supervisor of the Deerfield Centers for Addictions Treatment.

An affiliate of Journey Health System, Deerfield Behavioral Health serves 23 counties and has an office in Warren at 1003 Pennsylvania Ave. W.

“We’re pleased to promote both of these highly-skilled professionals to leadership roles at Deerfield,” said Dr. Kim Thurston, executive director at Deerfield Behavioral Health. “Their nearly 40 years of combined experience reflect excellent client care and service development skills, and we wish them continued success in these key positions.”

Berry joined Deerfield in March 2022 as Clinical Supervisor of the Deerfield Centers for Addictions Treatment, bringing 15 years of mental healthcare experience.

She is the co-author of “Reclaiming a Life of Value & Purpose: Designing a Life of Meaning and Beyond Addiction: A 100-Day Workbook for Relapse Prevention, Crisis Planning, and Your Personal Path to Wellness and Recovery” and co-owner of Reclamation Sisters, a recovery curriculum program.

Moore will take over as Clinical Supervisor and also joined Deerfield in 2022, first as a drug and alcohol therapist with 24 years experience in mental health and substance abuse care.

She’s the co-founder of Overcomer’s Anonymous faith-based recovery support group held on Thursdays at Praise Fellowship in Russell.
