State Sen. Scott Hutchinson and Rep. Kathy Rapp recently participated in Pennsylvania's March for Life.
This year's event, held on Oct. 16, marked the third annual event at the Capitol in Harrisburg.
According to the March for Life organization, the event aims to "peacefully advocate for pro-life protections for women and the unborn."
"It was great to see so many familiar faces who had traveled from the 21st Senatorial District to be here for this march as thousands of Pennsylvanians from every corner of the Commonwealth, flocked to our Capitol in the defense of life," Hutchinson said.
Rapp added that she was "honored to take part" in the march.
"Thousands of people from across the Commonwealth descended on the state Capitol to take a stand for the unborn," she said. "It was a moving demonstration of our beliefs in the right to life."
Speakers at the event included Sen. Michele Brooks, who represented part of Warren County until the last redistricting.
The first March for Life was held in Washington D.C. in 1974, one year after the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Roe v. Wade.
