Warren County Historical Society turning spooky for Halloween event

Photo from the Warren County Historical Society Facebook page A Haunted House along with horse-drawn trolley rides, shown here, are on tap at the Warren County Historical Society later this month.

It’s getting scary at the Warren County Historical Society.

The society’s Fourth Avenue Victorian mansion is being transformed into a haunted house and horse-drawn trolley rides will highlight some of the stories of the community’s past.

The event is set for Friday and Saturday from 6 to 9 p.m. each evening.

“If you dare to enter the spooky mansion you may feel the presence of ghosts brushing up against you and haunts roaming the halls lurking in the shadows,” said Sara Bogniak, WCHS event coordinator. “Now it is your chance to test your courage and see if you can make it all the way through the dark, creepy, and haunted second story of the Struthers Wetmore House.”

Trolley tickets are $11 presale and $13 at the door and includes the Haunted House. Tickets just for the Haunted House are $5 per person.

Bogniak said the trolley ride takes “you down the old brick streets of Warren’s historical district. Feel the hair on your neck stand up when the storytellers reveal some of the tales of our town.”

All proceeds from the event benefit the Historical Society.

Starting at $3.50/week.
